Frequently asked questions
Birthdays
Birthday Parties can be celebrated at the daycare by providing lunch at 11:30 a.m. or snack at 2:30 p.m. Parents need to provide all supplies for the celebration.
Goody bags should not be part of the celebration. If parents would like, a b-day child can inform to commemorate their birthday. We suggest giving something that can be used by all the children at daycare such as interesting books, music, items from other cultures or unique toy/souvenir.
Illness / Medications
Our policies are mandated by the Department of Health to ensure that our daycare maintains a healthy atmosphere for the children. Children who are ill need to stay at home for rest and loving care. If you child becomes ill in daycare, you will be notified immediately and will need to pick up your child.
Emergency
Please be assured that we are well prepared in case an emergency occurs while your child is at our daycare. We keep ample emergency supplies for children. We are familiar with the action plans in case of an emergency and are required to attend annual CPR/First Aid courses. Earthquake and Fire Drills are conducted once a month and children are taught what to do.
Naptime
Children that stay for a full day will be taking naps in daycare and will require a small sized sleeping bag. Sleeping bags should be taken home once a month for washing. We find that cotton is best for all seasons.
Organic Snacks
Child daycare promotes simple healthy eating principles by providing organic snacks to our students. We try to improve the overall personal health and wellness so our students start a healthy lifestyle.
